Daniel = the Church (not there)
Nebuchadnezzar = the Anti-Christ
Firey furnace turned up 7 times = 7 years of the 70th week of Daniel
Firey furnace = The Great Tribulation
Hananiah, Mishael, & Azariah = the Remnant, Israel
Hananiah, Mishael, & Azariah in the firey furnace = Tribulation saints preserved through the judgement
Overcomer = he that believes Jesus is the Son of God – 1 John 5:4, 1 John 5:5
Jesus only spoke to the multitudes in parables from Matthew 13 and Luke 12 on because the Pharisees attributed His miracles to the devil. – Matthew 12:24
Parables are given to those who are in the light (believers), not in darkness, so they (we) can know the mysteries of the kingdom. – Matthew 13:11
The content of Jesus’ parables contain truths hidden from the Old Testament. – Matthew 13:34, Matthew 13:35
2 advents of Jesus Christ:
Purpose of the Great Tribulation – driving the Jews to the wall until they acknowledge their offense, which was rejecting God at His 1st coming (His offer – Matthew 4:17, their rejection – Matthew 12:24), and requiring them to seek Him for His 2nd coming. – Hosea 5:15
Satan targets believing Jews in particular because if he wipes them out no one will be around to seek God for His 2nd coming.
Jewish sacrifices were a model of Jesus Christ as they did not pay for sin. – Hebrews 10:4
Jesus Christ is the only one that could pay for sin. – John 1:29
Animal sacrifices under the law were memorials in advance of Christ.
Animal sacrifices re-instituted in the millennium will again be memorials to Christ.
Vengeance belongs to God:
God speaking to Abram – Genesis 12:3
God says not to retaliate – Leviticus 19:18
Moses proclaiming God’s words – Deuteronomy 32:35
God controls who gets His wrath – Proverbs 24:17, – Proverbs 24:18
God will give what is deserved – Proverbs 24:29
Paul speaking of gifts – Romans 12:19
Paul speaking on God’s sole prerogative – Hebrews 10:30
Jude says the Lord will do the rebuking; we do not need to rail against others – Jude 1:9
“An eye for an eye” in the scriptures is saying let the punishment fit the crime, to prevent unbalanced retaliation
What shall we do to work the works of God? Jesus’ answer – Believe on Him whom God sent. – John 6:28, John 6:29
