Tamar = the gentile led church
signet = identity
bracelets = tribe
staff = authority
- Judah possessed the signet, bracelets, and staff to pledge, which represents the person and authority of Christ
- Judah bargained away the signet, bracelets, and staff for the price of a harlot, just as the Jews sold off Christ at His 1st coming in their spiritual harlotry
- The signet, bracelets, and staff were given as a guarantee of payment, just as the Holy Spirit is given as a guarantee of our eternal life
- The signet, bracelets, and staff being returned are a symbol of Christ’s authority transfer back to the Jews, representing their opportunity during The Great Tribulation
- Judah knew Tamar again no more, just as Christ’s dealing with Israel and the Church do not overlap
